Description
The proposed solution works on the potentialities of an approach to the reclamation of eminently naturalistic character in a fragment of peri-urban territory on which insists the former Scafatella landfill. The solution involves the use of phytotechnics through selection of agronomic hyper – accumulating proposals typical of the place and suitable for this purpose (Cannabis Sativa, Arundo Donax, Poplar) favoring its safety, restoring biodiversity and meeting landscape reconfiguration needs.
Objective
Among the species proposed, hemp has direct environmental benefits, but also indirect ones on the economic and social dimension. The innovation of the solution lies not so much in the product, which provides for the reuse of hemp at the end of its life cycle, but in the process by introducing the short supply chain. The latter combines the agronomic development of new crops with the recovery of the spatial context of reference, promoting local circular economies and also improving the employment situation.
