Final presentations REPAiR course Geo-design for a Circular Economy, Delft

On the 28th of June the final results of the REPAiR master course ‘Geo-Design for Circular Economy’ were presented at the Faculty of Architecture, TU Delft. In this course, students with a background in Industrial Ecology, Urbanism and Architecture teamed up to develop eco-innovative solutions for the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area. These solutions were applied and evaluated on a regional scale, making use of a geo-design approach. The proposals include an improved phosphorous cycle, a circular system for construction components, the use of microalgae bio-asphalt and the application of energy crops for phytoremediation of wastescapes. The results will contribute to the eco-ennovative solution catalogue that will be developed within REPAiR.
