The first Peri-Urban Living Lab meeting has been organised in Naples, Italy.
The meeting was held by Campania Regional Authority and DIARC-UNINA project teams on April 10th, 2017 at Campania Regional Authority headquarter conference room. The event has offered the opportunity to present the context, challenges and main objectives of Horizon 2020 Programme and REPAiR Project to the Campania Region-Deputy President and Officers, institutional representatives from Naples Metropolitan Area Authority and Councils included in the Focus Area of Naples case study.
After the presentation of the project, a stimulating discussion took place among the participants. The Campania Region Deputy President highlighted the importance of such an international and interdisciplinary collaboration between universities and local administrators on crucial issues related to peri-urban areas and resource management. The Mayors showed their interest and availability to contribute to the project research, they welcomed the possibility to host the next Peri-Urban Living Lab meetings and organise field trips on their territories, with the involvement of local communities.
